2017 Mercedes-Benz SLC Sneak Peek

2017-Mercedes-Benz-SLC-sideNext spring, the new coupe 2017 Mercedes-Benz SLC will be released. Mercedes-Benz has been redoing its lineup and after some major class changes, the time has come for the sport coupe’s overhaul. the former SLK class is going to become SLC class.Along with the new class name will come a next-generation facelift.

UNDER THE HOOD

2017 Mercedes-Benz SLC might offer revised powertrain lineup as well. 2.0L turbocharged 4-cylinder and 3.5L V-6 will most likely carry over unchanged. They will continue to offer either 241 hp or 302 hp respectively, while torque power is incidentally the same at 273 lb-ft. 415-horsepower 5.5L AMG V-8 mill might be replaced with more efficient 4.0L twin-turbo V-8 which should raise similar figures.

Finally, 3.0L turbocharged V-6 with 362 hp and 384 lb-ft of torque is also in the works and has even more chance of appearing. 9-speed automatic transmission will be standard.

DESIGN – INSIDE AND OUTSIDE LOOK

Changes to the car are supposed to be minimal. Long hood and short cabin will remain 2017 Mercedes-Benz SLC’s most prominent features. Frontal fascia is about to receive a new grille, headlamps and bumper, while rear end is up for a new bumper and tail-lights.

Interior of a sporty coupe will remain as sporty as it always was. One or two-tone color – it’s entirely up to you. New models, however, should offer a few additional colorways, even though regular or Nappa leather won’t be replaced. Aluminum, burl walnut and ash wood trims will carry over as well, but they might be positioned differently along with a 7-inch screen display and touch pad.

It offers navigation control and other infotainment duties, but it still warrants a $4,500 Premium package. Apart from touch screen display, you’ll also get dual-zone climate control, DVD/CD player with SD card reader, blind-spot monitors and bi-xenon headlamps with adaptive high beam assist, should you decide to go with this package.
